Z Box Getting Started

Thank you for choosing Z Box. This guide will help you complete the initial setup safely and prepare your device for everyday use.

Installation

Place Z Box on a stable, flat surface with enough open space around the ventilation areas.

Connect the USB-C–to–HDMI cable from Z Box to your TV or monitor, then connect the power adapter. Turn on your TV or monitor before powering on Z Box.

For the most reliable first setup experience, use a stable Wi-Fi network or Ethernet connection where available. Keep the device connected to power during the initial boot, system checks, and app updates.

First-Time Setup

  1. Unbox
    Confirm that the Z Box, power adapter, cable, and accessories are included before discarding the packaging.
  2. Connect
    Connect the HDMI cable and attach your preferred controller, keyboard, or mouse.
  3. Boot Up
    The first startup may take more than 30 seconds. Please wait until the Z Box Launcher home screen appears.
  4. Configure Wi-Fi
    Select the Settings gear icon in the top panel to set up your Wi-Fi connection.
  5. Update Software
    Select the Omini Box logo in the top-left corner to initiate a software update. Follow the on-screen instructions and allow the update to finish.

Important Use Notes

  • Restart interval: To help protect the hardware, always wait at least 10 seconds after powering off Z Box before turning it on again.
  • Do not enter or modify Developer Options in Settings unless instructed by official support. Changing these options may affect system stability or normal operation.
  • Do not perform a factory reset. A factory reset may remove required system settings, apps, or configurations and may affect device functionality.

Safety Precautions

  • Do not cover the ventilation openings or place Z Box on soft fabric while it is running.
  • Use only the supplied or recommended power adapter.
  • Keep liquids, metal objects, and excessive dust away from the device.
  • Allow the device to finish updates before disconnecting power.
  • Use only software, games, BIOS files, ROMs, and media that you lawfully own or are authorized to use.
