Z Box Product Line Pricing Update and New Improvements
Last updated on June 3, 2026
Dear Z Box customers and supporters,
Thank you for your continued support and trust in Z Box.
Since the beginning of the Z Box project, our goal has always been clear: to create a powerful, flexible, and reasonably priced entertainment device for Android gaming, emulation, media playback, and open living-room experiences.
Over the past few months, we have received valuable feedback from early users. Based on this feedback, we have been working on several important improvements to make Z Box not only more powerful, but also easier to use, cooler, and more refined in everyday use.
At the same time, the global electronics supply chain has continued to face significant cost pressure. Memory and storage prices have risen sharply due to strong AI server demand, with TrendForce reporting major quarter-over-quarter increases for both DRAM and NAND Flash contract prices in Q2 2026. Reuters has also reported that major gaming hardware companies such as Sony and Nintendo are facing similar memory-related cost pressure as AI demand tightens supply across the industry.
In addition, other key materials used in electronics manufacturing have also become more expensive. Copper prices reached record highs in 2026, and PCB-related costs have also been affected by material shortages and rising demand from AI infrastructure.
As a small-batch, high-performance hardware product, Z Box is directly affected by these changes. Core components such as the SoC, LPDDR memory, onboard storage, PCB, thermal materials, power components, packaging, and logistics have all become more expensive compared with our original production plan.
For the past months, we have tried to absorb as much of this pressure as possible through supply chain optimization, production planning, and cost control. However, in order to continue improving the product and maintaining long-term quality, we have decided to adjust the pricing of the Z Box product line.
What’s New in the Updated Z Box Product Line
This pricing update is not simply a response to rising material costs. The updated Z Box product line will also include several meaningful improvements designed to deliver a better user experience.
1. A Redesigned User Interface
The updated Z Box will feature a newly designed user interface.
The new UI is cleaner, simpler, and more user-friendly. It is designed to make daily operation easier, especially for users who use Z Box in the living room with a controller or remote.
Our goal is to reduce unnecessary complexity and make it easier for users to access games, apps, settings, and entertainment features.
2. A New Cooling Module
Thermal performance has always been important for Z Box.
The updated product line will include a newly designed cooling module to improve heat dissipation and help the device maintain stable performance during longer gaming, emulation, and media playback sessions.
This upgrade is especially important for users who expect consistent performance from a compact high-performance device.
3. A New Exterior Design
We are also introducing a new exterior design solution for the updated Z Box product line.
The new enclosure design is intended to improve the overall look, structure, and product feel, making Z Box more suitable for modern living-room setups and desktop environments.
This is not only a visual update, but also part of our broader effort to make Z Box feel more like a polished consumer product.
4. A Newly Designed Remote Control
The updated Z Box product line will also include a newly designed remote control.
Since Z Box is often used in living-room scenarios, the remote control is an important part of the overall experience. The new remote design focuses on better usability, more comfortable daily operation, and a smoother interaction experience when navigating apps, games, settings, and media content.
Together with the redesigned user interface, the new remote control is intended to make Z Box easier and more enjoyable to use right out of the box.

Why This Adjustment Is Necessary
We understand that price changes are never easy.
However, the updated pricing allows us to continue using reliable components, improving the product design, maintaining quality control, and supporting future software improvements.
Rather than reducing component quality, downgrading the user experience, or silently cutting corners, we believe it is more responsible to be transparent with our users and continue improving Z Box in a sustainable way.
Our Commitment Remains the Same
Even with this adjustment, our mission remains unchanged.
We will continue working to make Z Box a powerful, versatile, and enjoyable device for gamers, emulator fans, Android enthusiasts, makers, and users who want a flexible entertainment system at a reasonable price.
The updated Z Box product line represents our next step forward: a cleaner interface, improved cooling, a refreshed exterior design, a redesigned remote control, and a more refined overall experience.
Thank you again for your understanding, trust, and continued support.
